Provides broad retention for amino acids, hydrophilic and hydrophobic compounds, inorganic cations, basic drugs, and anionic counter-ions. Offers balanced retention and selectivity for both strongly and moderately basic analytes, providing flexibility across a wide range of pH conditions. Functional groups are integrated on a single ligand. A medium strength acidic group (pKa ~2) is positioned in the inner layer of the stationary phase close to the silica surface, minimizing interaction with residual silanols and improving peak shape for basic analytes. Incorporates surface-bound ion-pairing functionality, enabling full MS compatibility without the need for mobile phase ion-pairing reagents. Provides comparable selectivity and retention to established mixed-mode stationary phases, enabling direct method transfer with minimal adjustment.
